Construction Survey, Inc. (CSI) has been providing land surveying services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 1992. Specializing in construction related surveys, the company’s professionals bring an understanding of the demands of construction projects along with the technical skill and flexible service required to get the job done.

With extensive construction and surveying experience at BKF and other firms, Land Surveyor Steve Lally recognized the demand for responsive and professional construction staking and surveying in the aftermath of the Oakland Hills Firestorm. He established CSI to meet this need, providing critical support for the recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Denise Baker, LS 7947, CSI President since 2010, comes from a long family line of engineers and surveyors (see photo below). She began her land surveying career with Moldenhauer Engineering (Davis, CA), has experience with BKF Engineers (Vallejo, Redwood City, and Walnut Creek),  and joined CSI in 1996.

CSI meets the construction industry’s changing needs with the support of a talented team of surveyors, technicians, and support staff, focusing primarily on staking, monument preservation, and monitoring for public works, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects. The collaboration, flexibility and and trust between our team members is what enables CSI to be the nimble, responsive and accurate surveying partner our clients know they can rely on.
